YourNextCustomersBot
If this bot visited your site, it was reading your public pages so that a business using YourNextCustomers could learn something true about you before writing to you.
How to recognise it
It identifies itself honestly, with a user agent naming this page:
YourNextCustomersBot/1.0
(+https://yournextcustomers.com/bot)
What it reads
- Public pages only: your home page, about, services, contact and similar.
- Published contact details โ a phone number, an address, a social profile โ so that an email reaches the right place rather than a guess.
- Nothing behind a login, no forms, nothing it has to click, and no personal data beyond what you publish about your business.
How it behaves
-
It obeys
robots.txt, including rules written for it by name. - It waits between requests and gives up quickly rather than hammering a server.
- It reads a handful of pages per site, not the whole thing.
Telling it to stay away
Add this to your robots.txt and it will stop:
User-agent: YourNextCustomersBot
Disallow: /
To be removed from a customer's lists as well, write to hello@yournextcustomers.com with the address or domain, and it will be suppressed everywhere in the product.
